I really loved this book. My daughter is 5 months and we haven’t vaccinated her. At first we were planning to on an alternative schedule but recent research, documentaries and books have made us second guess that. I now feel not only comfortable with our decision not to vaccinate, but confident that we are making the right choice.

Fabulous information!! It has completely transformed the health of our whole family!! I have tried the remedies and protocols and they WORK! Natural healing takes time, your body NEEDS time!! Learn to let your childs body heal, and how best to support their systems! The negative reviews on here are CLEARLY trolls. My family is living breathing, unmediated proof that natural healing works.

This book offers a clear pathway to wellness for parents who are unwilling to subject their children to the toxic vaccines offered to them by a science-for-profit, science-for-hire medical and pharmaceutical industry. To date, no comprehensive study has been done comparing the health care outcomes of vaccinated children to unvaccinated children. This study is an absolute necessity, and should be done now, and done free of influence by the medical/pharmaceutical industries who are in business to sell pharmaceutical products. This study would answer meany questions raised in the current debate over vaccine safety. But available information, from sources not corrupted by their connection to the vaccine industry, show that the more vaccines given to children, the worse are their health care outcomes. Conversely, the unvaccinated child, given the same conditions and environment, is far far healthier, brighter, more adept at learning, and freer from learning disabilities and auto-immune diseases which plague the vaccinated population. This is an excellent, helpful book.Ellen Rixford...Board Member and Trustee of the Foundation for the Advancement in Cancer Therapies

Excellent book for every parent and family member who will care for babies and young children. Explanations and specifics details on what to look for and how to manage infections is well described. Will be making this my new baby gift for new parents. I knew there were answers and education besides just giving vaccines that do more harm than the infection and I found it. Parents need not be afraid but educated when doing the most important job of their lives. Education is key and this does a great job.

I've only had this book for a few days but it is already becoming a valuable asset. Whether you choose to vaccinate or not, this is a very practical book to help with common illness and supporting the immune system.I love that the recipes are easy to follow and breaks down illness and natural treatments. The only thing that I would improve is to better link remedies to which illnesses each is good for in the recipe section.Overall I'm very happy with my purchase. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

very informative about diseases that might afflict any child and great resource about natural remedies including different teas and healing properties of some plants/herbs/fruits.

Love this! Practical, holistic options for a healthy child

A must read for all parents and parents of unvaccinated children!

This is book three of the Hyllis Family:TelekeneticTeleporterHealersThe titles are a dead give away that something strange is going on. Dr. Dahners likes to work with "What ifs", but unlike some authors he works small. Instead of making characters who are Superman sans Kryptonite he gives his characters small powers that give them only a slight edge on regular folk. This makes his characters vulnerable and approachable. Yet unlike most books in Powers/Urban Romance section this book is 90action/10romance. Teenage kids think with Libido but I like it that his characters are not trapped in their heads overthinking which way to tie their shoes pulling daisy petals. The story is fast paced and keeps you enthralled all the way through like all of Dr. Dahners books. If you haven't read Dr. Dahners other booksStart with:QuickerorVaz

A Laurence Dahners story is what I call a "just 15 more minutes" read. Common sense dictates you eventually need to put down the book because of sleep or work or errands, and yet you tell yourself, "No, man, just 15 more minutes." Next thing you know, you'd read the entire thing, hours had sped by, and your boss is in a mood and calling you from work. Stories by this author are my new jam. I tore thru all three books about the strangely talented Hyllis family - Telekinetic (a Hyllis family story #1),Teleporter (a Hyllis family story #2), HEALERS - and then spent the next ten minutes furiously downloading a batch of Dahners' other works. I can't wait to start on the Ell Donsaii stories. But, first, my two cents on the Hyllis series. It's a post-apocalyptic tale, just so you'd know. Oh, Dahners does throw us a bone in that he explains how that whole mess came about (basically, it's this guy named Russ' fault). I'd earlier compared Dahners to Glenn Bullion in that their storytelling styles are both accessible and hard to resist. There's something about the way they tell a story that simply rivets you, and it may even be hard to put a finger on why that is. Courtesy of a super-flu pandemic that eradicated most of the global population, somewhen in the future, technology has devolved into a level circa agricultural/early industrial revolution. Scattered here and there are vestiges of our once glorious modern civilization. But them ancient mechanical gadgets don't work no more. Much knowledge has been lost, some retained, but not much. Take the Hyllis family, recipients of that which triggered the end of the world. The Hyllises are healers. They secretly hoard a collection of now-fragile medical books from the time before. The Hyllises also hide genetically-enhanced abilities. But they're no superheroes. They don't lord their powers over anyone. The fear is being found out and condemned for being witches and such. I think Dahners pulled a genius move by not endowing his characters with overwhelming abilities. Tarc Hyllis is a telekinetic. His younger sister, Daussi, is a teleporter. Thing is, their talents aren't so powerful. Tarc can't move anything too heavy, and same thing for Daussi re teleporting. Their parents share these talents, but at an even weaker level. The genius and the fun, then, is the author's application of these newfound powers in diverse and creative ways. I guess this is as good a spot as any to name-drop another favorite author of mine, Steven Gould. His Jumper novels are rife with inventive exploration into the main character's extraordinary ability. I'll say that if you're looking for deep, insightful character work, Dahners' stuff may not be for you. His protagonists are given certain character traits and, then, Dahners proceeds to throw them in deep water.Maybe more than anything, what makes Dahners' books such compulsive reads is the constant element of wish-fulfillment he injects. He writes about average folks imbued with a smidge - just a smidge - of extraordinary talent that they then use to overcome a staggering range of obstacles. HEALERS still focuses on Tarc and on Daussi, but their mother, Eva, also takes center stage. Recent members of a caravan, the Hyllises have thrived. Lines of people regularly form for the meals they produce. It's early days yet, but Eva's rep as a healer has begun to spread throughout the caravan. Eva's husband and distiller, Daum, is highly respected for his bowmanship, and he and Tarc are depended upon to help safeguard the caravan from bandits.Eva finds it distressing to turn away those who require medical attention. This becomes a serious problem when the caravan reaches the wealthy kingdom of Realth. Realth has a law against false healers, for which the punishment for being one is slavery. And there's Eva who just cannot find it in her to reject someone who is injured. Can you guess what happens next? You can't ever accuse Dahners of neglecting the action bits of the story. There's plenty of wild derring-do in these pages. Another thing that Dahners does exceedingly well is somehow marry a sense of wonder with grounded storytelling. The narrative goes down so matter-of-factly. Listen, the wrongest way to entice me to read a book is to tell me that the writer happens to be an orthopedic surgeon. Boring. But if I finish the book first, AND THEN you let on that the writer was an orthopedic surgeon, I'd be more impressed and intrigued. So far I have loved everything I'd read from this author. It's been, what, more than a year and a half since HEALERS came out? Where's the fourth installment? Dahners needs to publish that quickly... before Russ gets to that mall.

I've really enjoyed the Hyllis family from the first book. I thought the exploration of the powers and the stories were well done, interesting and intelligent. I felt like the characters were real and thought out and had their own personalities. I wish there were more books, and will be checking out what else this writer has worked on.The books aren't very long and there isn't much development past the main character (a little bit for the family in these books but each picks someone to focus on and spends most of the time on them) - the world is painted in broad strokes and the villains are somewhat just 'bad people' - while I may be completely wrong, I feel like the author just wanted to explore ideas in each of these and then put in the bare minimum to make the exploration make sense (everything beyond the main character and their power is done well enough, but is very brief and limited in scope) - I'd really love to see what the author could do if they spent as much time developing all (or at least a few more) aspects of the novel as they did on the core. All in all - enjoyable, intelligent, and I'll keep reading.

The editing of the authors novels is always of the best quality and the stories are always imaginative and well developed. This was a great read for $3.99. It really makes you wonder how other authors have the chutzpah to charge a lot more for their novels which are not as good. I love Dahners writing because it is fit for all ages, decent enough for youth yet complex enough for the old (me). The Hyllis series has all the charm of the Ell Donsaii series(another Dahners series) yet the excitement of scientific discovery has been replace with wondering what new use the Hyllis family will find for their paranormal talents. If there is a downside to the authors writing, it is that the novels are just not long enough, but then chocolate is always gone too soon and vacation is never long enough either.

Tokyo Ghost Volume 1: Atomic Garden, by Rick Remender

From Publishers Weekly

A stellar creative team seamlessly produces a work that's both breakneck and beautiful. In the Tokyo Ghost future, humans are mired in technological addiction, too busy consuming vapid entertainment directly through their optic nerves to notice when a homicidal millennial nostalgia buff named Davey Trauma goes on another murder spree. Enter Constable Led Dent—himself a hard-core addict—and his (life) partner, Debbie Decay, the only tech-free woman in all the Isles of Los Angeles. Remender (Low) and artist Murphy (Chrononauts) take Dent and Decay through a horror ride of dystopian nightmares as Trauma takes his brain-hijacking abilities to Tokyo—a bastion of nature protected by an EMP field—to plunder its resources for the myopic Flak Corporation. Murphy's sketchy yet detailed art and Hollingsworth's furious colors evoke a loopy, frenetic future, and Remender repeatedly doubles down on a chilling story that gets to the heart of addiction and codependency. Rick Remender is a fantastic writer. This book does not deviate from his quality in any way. His characters are striking, individualized, complex, and compelling. If you're a fan of any of his previous work, get this. Don't read any more, just get this. The setting is a holy trinity of equal parts Mad Max, Blade Runner, and Akira. So if Peak-Orwellian-Consumerist Cyperpunk Hell-Cities are your cup of tea, this book has it by the gallons.Remender does an excellent job of giving you glimpses of humanity in his main cast and breaking your heart when he rips that humanity away. In most of his stories, when you see his anti-heroes doing something nefarious you hurt for them because you know the repercussions exist within his worlds and can see the character's future taking a turn for the worse due to their actions.Great book, pick it up!

I have mixed feelings about Mr. Remender. I thought Black Science was good at first but went off the rails after a few trades. Low was bad from the get-go. Deadly Class is one of the best current books (I devour it the moment a new trade comes in the mail). This is a wonderful story. The plot is well thought out, but the science fiction social criticism is marvelous. At times, it can be a tad heavy handed, but it is very good and Mr. Remender has thought of a number of problems with tech that I hadn't conceived of.The art does a nice job of painting the future and detailing the tech and landscapes.

This is a very adult comic for a mainstream publisher like Image. Not a complaint, but buyers be advised.A new take on the cyberpunk genre, an interesting setting with new, modern updates (Metube, unread Twamps, ha!) and an extreme progression of a media-and-social-media driven society. The art reminds me of Martin Emond's from the '90s, especially Lobocop and Judge Dredd. I'm not familiar with the art team, but I'm going to be.Fortunately this is the first collection from an ongoing title (something I didn't know when I bought it) but the book doesn't clue you in to that especially well. My review of the story wouldn't have been as good if it was over where the book ends. Looking forward to volume 2.

The story is what differentiates this from it's peers. It's a compelling story of addiction and how it changes a person as well as how a person's issues shapes who they are. The technology vs. nature theme is interesting but not nearly as compelling as the story of Debbie and Teddy. It's tragic and has more parallels to our world than even the technology vs. nature theme.

It took a few pages to get into it, but then I was jacked in (see what I did there ). Its a great cyber punk story about two "constables" aka bounty_hunters/hitmen. One is a drug stricken beefhead the other is trying to help him get clean in anyway she can to get the "real him" back to her.Its a really good story about battling addiction in a drug infectious world and its pretty damn good. The art is stunning reminds me of the Japanese manga/movie Akira.

Absolutely love this series. It's a two part trade (1&2) that is completely worth your money. Its is a SyFy, diesel fueled, feudal Japan visual pleasure ride. I highly recommend it. Corrupt corporations, brain dead internet addicts, Bushido samurai, AND there's a love story that manages to pull on your heart strings a bit while the true plot carries you away on a joy ride.LOVE LOVE LOVE this book <3 <3 <3

This is one of the finest dystopian tales I have encountered in years. Keep your eyes peeled on the background or you'll miss amazing and/or hilarious things hidden in plain sight. Social commentary is hidden between the lines as well as shoved in your face. The progression is steady and engaging. Everything about this story has enamored me right from the get go, which is rare. I'm currently waiting on the next trade paperback (vol. 3) to be released. If you are looking at these reviews and even CONTEMPLATING buying this vol. 1 collection just do it, it's worth the risk and a few bucks for a story this good! 10/10

This is just buy. Especially if you ever wanted to get into comics. For artists like me this is amazing. Sean Murphy art is nothing short but awesome composition, storytelling, and panel design. Is great for references and too learn

I own almost all of Peterson's books. He is truly a master of teaching how to cook. His recipes focus on the most basic techniques and using the natural flavors of the foods themselves to make them stand out. I have never found better recipes for stews, pot roast, steak, etc. No celebrity chef will teach you the way Peterson can. You cannot go wrong with any of his books. So on to Meat. This is a very good kitchen education on meat. You will learn all of the basics about how to grill, braise, sauté, etc. The photos are marvelous and the recipes are very good. There's literally every type of meat you can cook here--squab, rabbit, brains, kidneys, I mean it goes on forever. There's not much contained in here that is not contained in his work Cooking, though. It seemed like he used this book more as a medium for showing off his photography than for delivering new recipes. There are a few, certainly, but goose with sauerkraut, that's not too innovative, and few of us really want to know how to cook brains. There's a great recipe for if you can find a really old rabbit, which Peterson acknowledges is close to impossible. So I enjoyed reading it and I will keep it. But this is not in-depth like Glorious French Food: A Fresh Approach to the Classics or Sauces: Classical and Contemporary Sauce Making, which really get into the explanations about how and why you cook a certain way. It's sort of like he took out the meat recipes from Cooking, added maybe a couple dozen useful new recipes, and some really pretty photos. But I will end the review on a high note. If you haven't read Peterson before and you all you want is a book on cooking meat, this is it, you'll love it. If you need a new cook book and don't know where to start, start with Cooking--that book changed my life. If you have Cookingand you want more in-depth information about meat, you'll find a few bits here and there that you'll like. If you are really hungry for an in-depth education from Peterson, track down Glorious French Food: A Fresh Approach to the Classics--light on photos and heavy on teaching.Four stars because it's Peterson, and it's a great work. One star penalty for being a little redundant.

Great recipes. Oh my goodness. And so easy to follow the instructions. The London broil tried tip with the white wine gravy sauce 😍😍😍.

Jame's Peterson's "Meat: A Kitchen Education" is a remarkably useful book, chock-a-block full of useful information from a Master Butcher. You'll learn stuff about meat cuts you never knew, and if you pay attention the book will save you a ton of money in your shopping. Excellent reference work any serious chef's bookshelf, and IMO indispensable for more casual kitchens. A knowledge base that begs to be tapped.

Perfect for both the experienced and beginning cook.

Read it with interest, I learned things, but, to be honest, I just like reading cookbooks--almost like reading post-modern novels that have no plot. Will try a few recipes. Probably best for someone who is just getting into the kitchen but isn't overawed by having their steak bones frenched.

if you are a meat lover and cook a lot, this is a great book. good basic tips and has good background and understanding of meats. very useful and can be shared amongst family members for cooking tips. also a nice looking book on top of that.

Using this book know how to successfully prepare meat meals.

Chef Peterson has outdone himself again. His newest book is a well assembled cookbook and very good in depth information on all cuts of meat and recipes to follow. So for anyone from the home cook to the professional this is a must read.
